| Double Oh Three Productions is a fruit cocktail of artists from all walks of life who unite to make unique and imaginative films. This production company was founded by David Ngo in June 2004 when he realized that his hopes of becoming a secret agent were dashed. Hence, "Double Oh Three" is an subtle homage to his elusive dream. Since 2004, Double Oh Three Productions has received several honors and accolades for its work, including the Best Documentary Feature award for its feature documentary, The Queen from Virginia: The Jackie Bong Wright Story, at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. Double Oh Three Productions David Ngo is an award-winning filmmaker. His first independent feature, The Queen from Virginia, which he directed, was awarded the Best Documentary Feature Jury Prize at the 2006 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. In 2009, he directed the short Go to Kenny, which received the Silver Remi Award from Worldfest Houston. Prior to this, David directed the short BPS in 2007, which was named a Top 10 finalist at the 4th Annual 72 Hour Shootout. As a screenwriter, David was a finalist in the 2010 Disney/ABC TV Writing Program. He also earned 2nd Runner-up in the CAPE Foundation New Writers Awards competition in 2008 for TV Writing. Also in 2008, David was chosen to participate in the Nickelodeon Writer’s Lab at the Palm Springs International Shorts Festival. In addition to these achievements, David is a past recipient of the Armed with a Camera Fellowship through Visual Communications, the premier Asian Pacific media arts center in the United States. He is also a former honoree of Film Independent’s Project:Involve, a select mentorship program for young filmmakers. As a freelance writer, David has been published in “NHA Magazine,” “Hyphen Magazine,” “Yolk,” and “BN Magazine.” David also has over ten years of experience working in television programming and acquisitions for two major cable networks. Jin Yoo-Kim is a woman filmmaker of Asian descent who was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She's written, directed, and produced numerous short films that have been screened at film festivals across the nation. In 2009, her short film "Pretty" was selected to screen at the Reel Women Film Festival in March 2009. In 2008, she produced "Go To Kenny," a short workplace comedy about Kenny, a man who unwillingly becomes the keeper of all his co-workers' deepest darkest secrets. In 2007, She produced a short film entitled "BPS" which was named a Top 10 finalist at the 4th Annual 72 Hour Shootout. In January 2007, Jin was awarded with the Armed with a Camera Fellowship through Visual Communications, the premier Asian Pacific media arts center in the United States. Through this program, she made a short 5 minute documentary entitled, "Bearing Dreams" on the Tae-Mong, a type of prophetic dreams Koreans have that determines the sex, personality, and destiny of their unborn child. "Bearing Dreams" premiered at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific American Film Festival in May 2007. In 2009, Jin enrolled as an MFA student at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Double Oh Three Productions Collaborators aka The Usual Suspects Robert F. Trucios has been writing and producing music for film and television for over a decade. He has been given the opportunity to compose on over 35 independent features, shorts, documentaries, award winning theater, TV dramas and comedies, which have broadcast on network and cable TV. Classically trained in music theory and an accomplished instrumentalist in piano, woodwinds, and percussion, Robert writes and produces music with sonic qualities influenced by classical, romantic, and jazz, as well as hip- hop, electronic and traditional forms from Latin America, the Middle-East, and Africa. His music juxtaposes acoustic instruments with synthesis and sampling to create a collage of textures and moods for his scores. Gavin Wynn is a prolific director of photography who has shot over 20 films in the last decade. He is also the director of The Debt Collector, an award winning short film that has appeared in film festivals in Vancouver, San Francisco, San Diego, and Chicago. Gavin has also served as a camera assistant for cinematographers from such credits as The Blair Witch Project, Red Water, Judas and Jesus and Strictly Ballroom. Gavin is also an honoree of Independent Feature Project’s Project:Involve. Gavin shot The Queen from Virginia, which received the Best Documentary Feature Jury Prize at the 2006 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and also the official Sundance selection Miss Navajo Nation. Stacy Halbach is an award-winning editor who has worked in film and television over the last decade. Stacy edited the award-winning documentary The Queen from Virginia, which received the Best Documentary Feature Jury Prize at the 2006 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. Additionally, Stacy also runs Boogie Bubble Productions, "a two mommy crew that produces quality children's DVDs." Her latest series, Adventures with Connor & Jaden, is currently available online.
